Ashford Leisure Trust - operators of the Stour Centre, Julie Rose Stadium & Kingsnorth Recreation Centre in Ashford – has secured funding from Sport England to help encourage and support young people aged 14 – 25 years to take part in health and fitness related activities over an initial eight week period.
Ashford Leisure Trust Chairman Mick Hubert was on hand to present a cheque for £355 to Councillor Bob Davidson for monies raised at the Funday and Athletics Festival the Trust hosted earlier this years at the Julie Rose Stadium.

As part of its programme of outreach events this summer, Ashford Leisure Trust ran a free BOKWA demonstration class at the Kennington Fayre in Ashford last weekend (29th June).
The fifth year of the Podplus 3 Lakes 5k Charity event took place on Sunday 23rd June at the Julie Rose Stadium. In the last 5 years a total of over £10,000 has been raised for charity by local business Podplus Sports Shop & Injury Clinic.
